How will I create a personal budget when I don’t have any income or bills?
When you arrive at JA Finance Park, you will be given a new life that your budget will be based on. You will receive a life situation that includes your age, gross annual income, tax information, marital status, and whether or not you have children.
Is it possible that I will be a millionaire?
No. We don’t have any millionaires in JA Finance Park. The incomes range from $22,000 to $80,000.
Do I have to include my family on all budget items?
Yes, you must consider your family when making all purchases. For instance, you can’t buy a two-seat sports car if you have four people in your family. You also have to feed, cloth, insure, and entertain all of your family members. No adopting your kids out either!
What kinds of budgeting decisions will I have to make?
You will have to consider many different expenses. You need a house and a car. You may want cable and Internet. Going out to eat or to a baseball game is fun. You also have to think about the things that aren’t so fun to pay for like health insurance, or utilities. But the great part is, it’s all up to you how you want to spend your money.
Should I have money left over at the end of the day?
Yes and no. Yes because you should have money left for emergencies that would be in a savings account. No, because it has to be in a savings account where it can earn interest. At the end of the day, you shouldn’t have money left in your pocket, but in a savings account for a rainy day.
